Some wounds are not visible. PTSD is Real! More than 1.5 million internal war refugees escaped to safety in Ukraine from Crimea and eastern territories invaded by Russia. Soldiers and their families, children and adults displaced by the violence suffer from emotional trauma inflicted during the horrors of war. They need emotional support and help to get back their normal lives.

National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukraine’s oldest university established in 1615, established two Centers to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), one in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and one in Sloviansk, where major battles took place in Donbas. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the two Centers. Donations are welcome. Kyiv Mohyla Foundation of America is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to assist the National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy. Donations are fully tax deductible. $60 of the $75 ticket to the event is tax deductible. For more information contact Kyiv Mohyla Foundation at mail@kmfoundation.org or 773-490-9797.

About Lynne Jordan

A Chicago favorite, Lynne Jordan has been thrilling audiences worldwide for over twenty years. She leads her own 12-piece band “Lynne Jordan & the Shivers” entertaining at top venues in the city, some of Chicago’s biggest gala events, as well as concerts in Europe and South America.

Drawing upon her theater background whilst a student at Northwestern University, she incorporates a healthy dose of humor in her work, but she can break your heart in the next moment with her interpretation of a song.

Lynne has surrounded herself with some of the best musicians in the country. The unique combination of excellent musicianship, humor and soul has kept the same personnel intact for over fifteen years and this makes for a very special chemistry on stage. It is infectious. You will dance all night.
