Following the screening, a Q & A with Max Weissberg will be conducted in Russian Wine and appetizers will be served. The event is free   KARAGANDA, produced in Los Angeles at the American Film Institute, is about a prisoner in a 1950s Soviet prison camp on a mission to find his wife. The film has screened in 26 film festivals in 13 countries, earning 5 awards. The film is part of a feature trilogy that Max Weissberg is presently planning. His work has screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Hulu, and the Sundance Channel, among other places. He speaks fluent Russian and attended Herzen University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
