        Dear friend! Please join us on June 16-19th at the 49, Winchester Street in Newton, MA for the exhibition, reception and the fine art auction to benefit Jewish Educational & Cultural Center Makor, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The unique collection of 26 original seascapes by Ukrainian Marine Impressionist Vladimir Y. Zebek ( 1931-2015) will be featured by From Russia with Art Gallery. Born in 1931 in Nikolayev, Ukraine, Vladimir Zebek was a witness to over sixty of the most tumultuous years in Soviet history His family endured the famine in early 1930's. After his father death, in 1943 he, his mother and brother were sent to Germany. While there Vladimir was taught to paint by the neighbor artist. He returned home and was greeted with arrest and sentenced to Archangelsk labor camp... Even in a petal colony Zebek  continued to develop his artistic skills. Being freed again, he finally studied and graduated from Moscow State Art College for the Memory of 1905.   Today, Vladimir Zebek is recognized as one of Russia-Ukraine finest contemporary seascape artists, often compared to grand Masters of marine art, Ivan Aivazovsky and Joseph Turner. In March 2015, while living in the picturesque Kilburn Spit in Nikolayev region near Black Sea, the Artist lifted his brush for the last time. Entrance $10.
