Gillibrand voted to OPPOSE military readiness funding and economic development support for military bases across New York. Why? She's running for President and needs the backing of the Democratic Party's far left, not the everyday New Yorkers she's paid to serve. I only have one question: Is this someone you want representing YOU?
 Dear Friend,Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has voted AGAINST the largest pay raise for our troops in nine years.
Gillibrand voted to OPPOSE military readiness funding and economic development support for military bases across New York. Why? She's running for President and needs the backing of the Democratic Party's far left, not the everyday New Yorkers she's paid to serve. I only have one question: Is this someone you want representing YOU?
The National Defense Authorization Act is one half of America's annual defense budget. In addition to the largest pay raise for our troops in nine years, it outlines a spending blueprint which includes funding for New York facilities such as the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Rome Air Force Research Laboratory and Stewart and Gabreski National Guard bases.
This week Gillibrand voted to oppose all of it.
The men and women who put their lives on the line to defend our nation have been underpaid for too long. They deserve our support. How Kirsten Gillibrand can vote against them taking home a little more in their paycheck is incomprehensible. Yet in the wake of the bill’s passage, even though she voted against the bill, Gillibrand issued misleading press releases actually taking credit for $14 million for Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, $14.2 million for the Rome Laboratory and funds to clean up PFOA water contamination at Gabreski and Stewart National Guard bases.
Kirsten Gillibrand has declared war on New York. I'll stand with our brave service members and support a pay raise for those who keep us safe. It's a small price for their tremendous sacrifice.
